F.I.N.E.- Fine means Freaked- out Insecure Neurotic  and Emotional.- Italian Job

Fine is one of those words you use when you are not really happy about something but someone asks you how you feel. When you say the word you don’t really think about it but if you think about the word later you can probably fit it into one of the four categories, Freaked-out, Insecure, Neurotic or Emotional.

If your happy you are not going to use fine, you would use superior, great, incredible, fantastic, or good. When I am talking to my friends, most know that if I say I am fine I’m usually not. This just reminds us that we need to watch what we say but we also need to pay attention to the non-verbal cues that people give us.

Many people are bad at picking up on these cues but it is something that everyone needs to work on. Listen for tone changes, posture and eye contact. Men may be the worst at it but women are guilty sometimes too. My challenge to you is to try to pay attention to people around you. The best way to figure out how to do this is to just watch and listen to your friends and see what else you hear them saying. Life is what you Make it so what are you going to do today?
