“If you’re tired of starting over, stop giving up.” -Unknown
Some people think that it is easier to just stop when things get hard. Well that is true but if you always give up you never actually complete anything. If you never complete things you will never get that feeling that accomplishing something gives you. The biggest problem with giving up is that it usually ends up hurting someone.
I know that in my past I have given up on things and they end up hurting me. Whether it’s giving up on a homework assignment when it gets to hard or giving up on a friendship that is headed down hill. Giving up leaves you with questions about what could have happened. Like I said in my earlier post (regrets) you can’t regret because there is nothing you can do about the past except learn from it. Giving up on friendships can go both ways, it can hurt you and can hurt the other person.
My challenge to you is looking back on something that you have given up on. It can be a hobby or a friendship that you have quit. Try to find the reason of why you quit. If it is something that is worth fixing or a hobby that is worth trying again, do it! Try it and see what it turns into. Who knows it could turn out great! Life is what you make of it so what are you going to do today?
