If Plan A Doesn’t Work

10 Apr

If plan A fails....

“If ‘Plan A’ didn’t work. The alphabet has 25 more letters! Stay cool.” –Unknown

Many people think that if they fail at one thing its all over but you have to remember that even if you didn’t achieve the first thing there is always a second thing to do. If you do have a plan A then you probably have a plan B. The problem with a plan is that it is just an idea of what you want to do. You have to be willing to change as other things are given to you. Sometimes it means coming up with plan E but you can still accomplish your plan.

I know that even when I plan things down to the minute, one thing will go wrong and you have to figure it out and plan A just changed to plan B. I am a planner at heart but when it comes down to it I realize that you can only plan things to an extent before you just have to let things happen.

This quote should remind you that things will work out you just have to go with the flow some times. The challenge that I give to you is to not freak out if the first plan doesn’t work out and to just figure out a second or third or fourth or fifth plan. Life is what you make of it so what are you going to do today?

No More Bashing

“Promote what you love instead of bashing what you hate” -unknown

Many people forget to mention the good things in life and only focus on the things that go bad. People need to forget the things that make the day bad and focus on the things that are good in the day.

I know that sometimes you just have to complain about people that are annoying in your life but you also have to say the good things because if the person that your complaining to only hears the bad about another person it is hard to ever think good of that person.

I know that when I have friends that have told me bad or annoying things about a person that I have never meet before it is hard to ignore those things when I first meet the person. They are like first impressions but without actually using our own ideas and views to come to your own conclusion. The thing about judging people before you meet them you don’t ever give them a chance to show who they really are.

You should not worry about the people that bug you on a daily basis but tell people about the ones you love on a daily basis. Next time someone treats you well tell people and just ignore the people that don’t treat you well. My challenge to you is try to find something that you are passionate about, like me and quotes and tell people about them. Life is what you make it so what are you going to do today?

Think for Yourself

5 Apr

“To find yourself, think for yourself.” –Socrates

Many people these days just do what they think is right according to other people. They don’t think for themselves and live  for themselves. There are so many different influences that affect us as adults but there are even more that affect kids. Between the TV shows, newspapers, magazines, the internet, and movies the influences are never stopping.

If you think for yourself you can accomplish great things, if you think of all the inventions that people have come up with they didn’t just follow they thought for themselves and lead. I know that when I come up with ideas for myself I realize what is important to me and what I can accomplish. I know that in times in my life I have let people tell me what to do but I have come to realize that when I let them do that I am not being myself and not expressing myself the way I should. I now know that I can’t regret things that have happened and I need to move on, which I am working on by sticking up for myself.

This quote should really make you stop and think. Who am I? What do I want in life? What do I want today? To accomplish these questions you have to be true to yourself and think for yourself. The challenge of today is to try to think for yourself and not let people push you around and tell you what to do. Life is what you make it so what are you going to do today?

Stop Giving Up

4 Apr

“If you’re tired of starting over, stop giving up.” -Unknown

Some people think that it is easier to just stop when things get hard. Well that is true but if you always give up you never actually complete anything. If you never complete things you will never get that feeling that accomplishing something gives you. The biggest problem with giving up is that it usually ends up hurting someone.

I know that in my past I have given up on things and they end up hurting me. Whether it’s giving up on a homework assignment when it gets to hard or giving up on a friendship that is headed down hill. Giving up leaves  you with questions about what could have happened. Like I said in my earlier post (regrets) you can’t regret because there is nothing you can do about the past except learn from it.  Giving up on friendships can go both ways, it can hurt you and can hurt the other person.

My challenge to you is looking back on something that you have given up on. It can be a hobby or a friendship that you have quit. Try to find the reason of why you quit. If it is something that is worth fixing or a hobby that is worth trying again, do it! Try it and see what it turns into. Who knows it could turn out great! Life is what you make of it so what are you going to do today?
